In addition to ginger, turmeric is another favourite spice of ours, and you’ll find it in an array of our baked snacks and lunch pots. Turmeric has superb health benefits, which you can read about here. This winter, create a delicious infusion that will take you back to your childhood, but with a little more zing!
- 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 cup light coconut milk (from the can)
- 2 tablespoons raw honey
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 black peppercorn
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch cayenne
- Pinch nutmeg
Add all of the ingredients to a blender and process for around one minute (process for longer if the ingredients are not well-combined after a minute). Pour the mixture into a saucepan and heat on a low-medium heat until it reaches the desired temperature. Be careful not to let the mixture boil.
